Why Kids Love Indoor Playground

If you live in a place such as we do in Western New York (we are in Rochester!) With superbly hot summers and cold snowy winters, you will know that your options for your kid's birthday celebration are mostly dependent on the weather.
As an August baby, we always had small family parties out at my house. However, together with sons born in November and March, we're constantly left to reserve an indoor venue for their parties, if we decided to have them that season. While those with kids with summer birthdays might appear lucky to have numerous options at their disposal, it may also often feel overwhelming.
While at Climbing Vines Cafe and Play we might be biased because we sponsor indoor celebrations, I wished to share with all the 5 most common reasons we hear from past party customers to book indoor summer birthdays with us. To these, the stress-free temperament of the indoor summer party is really a no-brainer, plus they're not looking back! Following their first indoor summer partythey keep hosting with us year after year.

The most common reason for a client to reserve a summer indoor party with us is they don't need to stalk the weather prediction for updates in the weeks leading up to the party. Nothing can derail a pleasure celebration faster than having to cram all of your guests within your house, waiting for a storm to pass. And if you've ever needed to cancel or postpone your child's birthday due to weather, you know how heartbreaking that could be.
We get dozens of calls every summer a few days before someone's outdoor celebration is supposed to take place to find out if we've got an open slot for them within our indoor celebration venue due to weather woes. We can normally pull off this if the spot is open, but hosts will unfortunately need to starve and allow all of their guests are aware of the change in place and probably shift in time, and change all their catering orders to accommodate their new party plan.
While of course rain is probably the largest obstacle you might face, intense heat, unseasonably cool weather, and wind can also pose problems for your food, decorations, and your guests' possessions. You will probably find yourself investing in a kayak or some other weather barrier just to ease your mind somewhat, which are costly and take a great deal of precious time to set up and take down. I won't even tell the story of the time my Dad put a tent up for a celebration in a windstorm and wound up with a insurance claim for 4 damaged automobiles when it withdrew (weights and anchors and all!) ...

2) CHANGING IT UP

Aside from the obvious weather worries it's possible to avoid with a indoor celebration, there may also just be something really simple and lovely about a indoor summer celebration. Guests won't need to worry about bringing towels and sunscreen and sunglasses and swimsuits and changes of clothing and insect spray... you get the picture.
Sometimes it's nice to have a brief break from the outside, sip coffee in an air-conditioned cafe, and have an actual conversation with other adults while the kids play, rather than chasing children around trying to get their fur on them or keeping them away from your in-ground pool. I am not sure about you, but I could never quite relax at an outdoor summer birthday celebration with a 2 and a 4 year old. While they sure do have a fantastic time running around, we usually leave in a daze or using a tantrum, unsure if we even had the time to talk or check in with everyone.
While I absolutely adore a fantastic barbecue or summer grilling extravaganza, I also find it refreshing when we could take a rest from the same-old backyard bash and spend a few hours at a relaxing, cool, and most significantly -- contained! -- atmosphere.
It is also freeing as a guest to have the remainder of the day to do as we wish as a family, not have to be concerned about getting the kids into a bath right after the party or stopping home to cool off and change clothes.
I guarantee that in the event you book an indoor celebration for your child, guests (especially family) might seem a little confused at first (why not just take advantage of the summer weather while we can, right?) But after hosting hundreds of indoor parties I will tell you for sure that on the day-of, you and your guests will realize how nice it is to kick back within an air-conditioned private party for a few hours.

Speaking of how relaxing an indoor, air-conditioned celebration could be, can we discuss food for a moment? Not only are food options limited with an outdoor party due to heat, but it can be hard to keep food covered and retain the bugs, bees, and other debris off.
Right now, my sweet 4 year old boy is terrified of bees, and the quickest way to send him into a tailspin would be for him to sit down to eat a cupcake or his meal and have bees swarming around. Therefore, for our loved ones, the food factor alone could be enough to justify an indoor playground business for sale party.
Eating in peace without having to find shade or a chair or a location away from bugs is one of those things you don't realize can be so magnificent before you attend your fourth or fifth outside summer gathering and THEN get a break from them. Among the most common things we hear is how fine it is to sit and eat and watch the kiddos play without having any venue-related cares or worries. This will be particularly important if you're going to be needing elderly family members attend that can battle with being portable in the grass or mud and finding seating at outside parties.
Do not worry, we have you covered there, literally!

While celebration aesthetic may not be a deciding factor for each and every household, it sure is significantly simpler to create a themed extravaganza that lighting a child's face up when the party's indoors. The decorations required tend to be less because the place is smaller and included contained, and you won't need to be concerned about balloons and streamers blowing all about or securing table covers down.
Because we do host cellular events outdoors in Climbing Vines Cafe and Play, I can also speak from experience when I say the time that it takes to set up (and take down!) Decorations for an outdoor celebration compared to an indoor celebration generally ends up being double. Finding good places to hang banners, needing two people to maintain and protect everything, and finding weights or other restraints for everything may be a true hassle on party day.
And you will have enough to be concerned about that day, right?
Also, if your pinterest planks are full of adorable figurines, a candy bar, or anything which could possibly be affected by wind (or bring bees!) You will probably have to restrategize for an outdoor soiree.
Not to mention decor typically can only be utilized once if used outdoors, but repurposed again and if used for an indoor event. Our guests that sponsor indoor occasions, notably those who spent significant money into decor or worked hard to make their very own, are pleased to find they could usually create a huge chunk of their money back by reselling their materials something such as Facebook Marketplace.
5) YOU MAY ACTUALLY SAVE MONEY
Speaking of money, probably the greatest misconception I hear from customers is they want to sponsor a party in their home to save the rental fee of an indoor space. I usually laugh at this because it makes perfect sense, that is, if you have never hosted an outdoor party.
With all of the"extras" like tents, seat rentals, additional decorations, weather reinforcements, cleanup supplies, games and activities for your children (which you won't need to supply at a play area!) , pool toys, etc.... It's very likely that you will end up spending MUCH more hosting a party at your house or an outside venue than you would inside.
I'm not sure how other indoor spaces manage their equipment, but we just charge guests for extra beverages and supplies and these on the day of the celebration if they end up needing themand we also enable parties to attract in their OWN meals, dessert, and decoration if they choose!
Money aside, spending countless hours cleaning prior to, during, and after the party may also take a toll. Would not it be wonderful to walk into a sparkling clean space and depart with your guests when the party's over, not needing to worry about the cleanup, garbage removal, tent teardown, etc?
You can just go home and unwind with your family (yes, possibly outside!)
Along with the time spent cleaning before and after the party, wouldn't it ALSO be wonderful to not need to play"host" during the event? Even for clients that make their own food and decor, our committed celebration assistants set everything up, refill and mend food and drinks as needed, clear dishes, cut and serve the cake, and pack up all the leftovers in the end of the celebration!
After all, it's your child's special day and you wish to spend those precious hours making memories and seeing with your guests-- not running about chasing your decorations or refilling the fruit bowl countless times.
So save everybody (and especially your own family!) We'd be honored to provide you with an easy, enjoyable experience which will leave your whole guest list feeling refreshed, grateful, and full of love after having a relaxing (yet fun-filled!) day together.
